Focusing on Your Business

I recently read a book "The One Thing" by Gary Keller and there was one thing that stood out to me from the book. The book talked about focusing on the money making activities in your business. As a network marketer, one of the most important activities, of course, is prospecting. This action is not only recommended for prospecting, but also for any important aspects of your business. The book instructs you to:

1. Block off time on your calender every working day for specific activities. For example, set aside at least an hour or two for prospecting.

2. Let family and friends know that you should not be disturbed, unless it is an emergency, during this block of time.

3. Eliminate any distractions, such as your cell phone or TV.

By following the recommendations, you will consistently perform the tasks that are important to growing your business and making more money. It will also help you to get into the habit of prospecting regularly. This can also eliminate the excuses that many of us use to justify procrastinating. This is a practice used by many top earners in the business and is necessary if you also want to be a top earner.
