10 Things You Can Do To Get Rid Of Under Eye Bags

If you're anything like me, you developed bags under your eyes as you started aging. I myself have struggled with the issue for some time, and noticed that many of the women I worked with also struggled with the same problems. I've always heard in the past, that you can get rid of or avoid under eye bags by getting 8 hours of sleep. But unfortunately, there are a lot of people who don't get 8 hours of sleep for various reasons.
If you are one of those people, then hear are some other ways you can get rid of the puffy eyes. Of course there are medical procedures that could help solve this problem, but if you are squeamish, try what is suggested below. The solutions are pretty simple and can be done by you at home. Here are 10 of them.
- Cold tea bags or cucumbers - Cold compresses are one way to get rid of puffy skin.
- Hydration - It's important to stay hydrated, because puffy eyes can be a symptom of dehydration.
- Retinol creams - Retinol creams help to boost collagen.
- Lightening creams - Lightening creams can help reduce the production of melanin which can cause dark circle and eye puffiness.
- Sunscreen - Using sunscreen can help with preventing discoloration of the skin.
- Remove makeup - If you don't remove your makeup before you go to bed, then it may cause eye irritation and infections.
- Elevate your head - Fluids can pool while your sleeping, so elevating your head can prevent fluid from gathering under your eye.
- Eat collagen rich foods - Boosting your collagen, can prevent your skin from sagging. Some collagen rich foods are oranges, kale and strawberries.
- Eat Iron rich foods - Iron deficiency can cause dark circles. Some iron rich foods are leafy green vegetables, raisins and peas.
- Cut out salty foods - Excess salt can make you retain body fluids, which tends to cause puffiness.
The above remedies are just some of what's available, but are easy to use because they can be done at home. If you suffer from under eye bag, Then try one or more of them. Different things work for different people., so find what works for you. As I said earlier, the easier way to get rid of them is to get more sleep. If that's an option for you, then take advantage of it, because getting adequate sleep can help the body repair itself in so many other ways.
