5 Foods That Could Help You To Lose Weight

I recently started Weight Watchers and came across a list of recommended foods for those trying to lose weight. Weight Watchers encourages you to eat proteins, fruits and vegetables. I love to eat the fruits and vegetables between meals, so that I don't feel as though I am starving. The one benefit to eating certain foods is that they help me to curb my hunger.

Whole Eggs have gotten a bum rap in past years, because it was thought to be related to bad cholesterol. Recently it has been found that this is not true. They are also high in protein. I often eat boiled eggs between meals to satisfy my hunger pains. Weight Watchers works on  point system and eggs are considered zero points.

Lean beef as well as skinless and boneless chicken are also on the list. They are high in protein and if prepared correctly, not so high in calories. Of course sauces and other ingredients will add calories. A high protein diet can help you to burn more calories.

Cruciferous Vegetables like broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower are both high in fiber and protein. They are also high in vitamins and minerals. Some studies have also linked the vegetables to cancer prevention. As stated before, the protein in these vegetables will help you to burn more calories.

Nuts are another food that's recommended by expert when it comes to losing weight. They are high in fat, but will not necessarily cause you to gain weight. This is another food that is a good source of protein and fiber. Both of which aid in weight loss.

Leafy green vegetable, like spinach, kale and collard greens are good because they are high in fiber. Foods high in fiber will make you feel full longer. Another benefit is that they are also high in vitamins and minerals.

Of course there are many other foods that will also help you to lose weight, but the four mentioned above are a good start. Moderation is the key to any weight loss program. Eating the above foods help me to feel as though I am not on a bland diet. Sometimes if I am craving something sweet, I will drink a chocolate flavored plant protein to help curb my craving. If I am not satisfied when it comes to taste with my foods, then I am more likely to deviate from my program.
