3 Foods That Have Super Benefits

As I get older, I have started to notice a few things that they always say come with age. Things that cause me to move slower, and to have to watch what I eat. I am currently in the process of losing weight and not a fan of diets. I want to lose weight by changing the way I think about food and not by just depriving myself of calories.This prompted me to start doing research on healthier foods. After doing this for a while, I noticed that there are some foods that keep showing up on multiple lists.Thus the reason I decided to write this blog.



The three foods are Avocados, Blueberries and Spinach. They have numerous health benefits, but I decided to focus on 5 of them. I have been trying to incorporate them into my diet, to help me lose weight and to take advantage of the health benefits. Here is a list of the benefits:


  1. Anti-inflammatory: This is good for people who struggle with arthritis or inflammation for other reasons.
  2. Lower Blood Pressure: If you have to watch what you eat because of your blood pressure, then eating these foods can help you lower yours.
  3. Lower Cholesterol: Some foods can help your body to increase good cholesterol (HDL) and lower your bad cholesterol (LDL).
  4. Blood Sugar Levels: Managing your blood sugar levels can benefit those with diabetes as well as help people trying to lose weight. Preventing a spike in blood sugar is also beneficial to anyone trying to lose weight, because it prevents your body from creating and storing fat.
  5. Aid for Digestion: The foods mentioned above, can help aid with digestion by helping to increase healthy gut bacteria. Also, they are high in fiber. This can move the contents of your large intestines through quicker.

As I said before, there are other benefits to eating the three foods. The nutrients provided can also benefit other things like healthy bones, skin and hair. Hopefully this information can help you with some health concerns or with your weight loss journey. They're helping me eat better and lose weight without having to give up foods I enjoy. Enjoy!
