5 Foods That Can Help Boost Your Energy

Written by: Crystal Foster

There have been plenty a day where I started to have a drop in energy in the afternoon. So I decided to look for foods that could boost your energy. Many of the foods we eat everyday are energy boosters for various reasons. Some contain antioxidants, which help fight fatigue.

Others are high in protein, which don't spike your blood sugar levels, so that you will crash. They keep your blood sugar levels steady. Foods that contain omega-3 fatty acids help decrease fatigue. Natural sugars can also be your friend, when it comes to absorbing sugar into your bloodstream at a steady level, preventing spikes. Here is a list of 5 foods you can add to your diet:

  1. Eggs - high in protein
  2. Apples - contain natural sugars
  3. Beans - high in protein and fiber
  4. Walnuts - contain omega-3 fatty acids
  5. Berries - contain antioxidants
Of course there are many other foods that you can eat that can help boost your energy. Most of us know that we can get a boost from the caffeine, which we can find in coffee and tea. But keep in mind that adding sugar and cream will add calories. I personally drink more tea than coffee, and I drink my teas plain, without sugar or anything else.

When I'm on the run, I'll put a supplement in my water called Hydraslim Plus. It helps to boost my energy level as well as my metabolism. Since it's in my water, I just sip on it throughout the day. If you're interested in taking a look, I'll include a link below. So, if you're constantly feeling an afternoon lull, grabbing some apples, berries or walnuts may be the answer you need.
